What this app does
Trashpad is for the note you want to jot down now and never think about again. Start typing and it is already kept — there is no Save button anywhere. Each note then deletes itself once its timer runs out.
A phone number, where you parked, one line from a meeting, a draft you will never reopen — this is a place for those that does not turn into a pile. No account, no login, no subscription. What you write stays on this device only.
The delete timer
- Choose 1 hour / 6 hours / 24 hours / 48 hours / 7 days. The default is 24 hours.
- Every note can use its own, and the default for new notes is changed right on the first screen — not buried in a settings page.
- The clock runs from your last edit. Typing one more character restarts it from zero.
- The time left is stamped on each note, and one button restarts it.
How to use it
Opening it puts a blank sheet in front of you — just type. Press “New note” when you want another. When you are done with one, wait it out or press “Trash it now”.
Expired notes are removed when you open the app and while it stays open. There is no archive and no undo — that is the point.
When people open it
While taking a number down on a call, noting the parking level in an unfamiliar building, catching one line in a meeting. These are notes that would only be clutter a few days later.
Unlike temporary-note sites that vanish when the tab closes, this is still there after you close and reopen the browser — until the timer runs out.

Do notes disappear when I close the tab or the browser?
No. A note stays until its timer runs out — closing the tab, quitting the browser, or restarting the device does not touch it. Time is the only thing that removes it.
Are notes uploaded to a server?
No. What you write stays on this device only. There is no account sync, no cloud backup, and no share link. On a shared device, clear site data when you are done.
Can I change it from 24 hours?
Yes. Pick 1h, 6h, 24h, 48h, or 7 days. Each note can differ, and the default for new notes is changed on the first screen. Nothing is locked to 24 hours.
Is it free? Is there a subscription?
It is a free browser tool. There is no subscription, no paid tier, and no login. Google AdSense ads may appear.
Can I recover a deleted note?
No. There is no archive, no trash can, and no undo. If something needs to last, set its timer to 7 days or copy it somewhere else.
