What this app does
Photo Spec fits a photo or signature to the pixels and file size a form demands. Presets cover India exam photo 200×230 (20–50 KB), exam sign 140×60 (10–20 KB), passport/visa 2×2 600×600 (50–200 KB), and KR resume 3×4 300×400 (30–100 KB). You can also type custom width, height, min/max KB, and JPEG or PNG.
Crop is a centered cover-crop to the target aspect (you can drag to nudge it). JPEG quality is binary-searched; if it is still over max KB at minimum quality, the app downscales slightly. The preview shows exact W×H and KB — green in range, red if not. It does not open or autofill government or exam sites. No account and no upload; processing and the applicant notes stay in this browser’s localStorage.
What to enter
- A preset chip, or custom width, height, min KB, max KB, and JPEG/PNG.
- Photo or signature: file, camera, drop, or Ctrl+V paste. Processed only on a canvas.
- Optional applicant notes: name, DOB, phone, email, address, father/mother, national ID note. Each field has Copy. Stored as photo-spec:profile:v1.
How to use it
Pick a spec and add an image. Drag the preview to move the crop. Green means the file is in range. Download names the file with the real size, like photo-200x230-32kb.jpg.
Use the applicant notes as a local cheat-sheet and copy a field when a form asks. It never fills another site. On a shared device, clear site data when you are done.
